Khaab Indian
The project scope was an interior renovation of a local Indian restaurant, Khaab. A tight budget, and desire to remain open during construction posed unique challenges. Working as a design build project, the design was segmented and developed around how the restaurant could remain open during the day, and be renovated at night.
The focal aspect of the design was redeveloping the bar into a distinct zone within the restaurant. The bar is bracketed on either end by the wood feature wall and wine shelving wall to delineate the bar from the dining areas. running the length of the restaurant behind the wood feature wall is a custom mural done in collaboration with a local artist. This mural serves to link the rear and front dining areas together.

We collaborated with local artist Kobolt Studios to design a large scale mural as a unifying pattern along the main wall. The mural helps to link either side of the dining around the central buffet.
