While working as a Project Designer with Bass Studio Architects Brandon worked on the project team to develop the interior TI renovation of the Workstate Offices. The 2,500 sq ft space serves as the Columbus branch of the Software Development company.
The program included 16 individual office spaces, a conference room, as well as a lounge and break room. Working within a historic building with windows only at either end, the focus became how to bring light into individual offices. The window facing offices utilized polycarbonate wall finishes to allow light to filter through each office to the interior offices. Irregular penetrations were included in each office to allow further filtering of light to each individual desk.
The workspace balances the acoustic and visual privacy of a traditional office with the light open qualities of a more modern office.
