Kingmakers of Oakland:

Role: Lead PM & Designer at AE3

Kingmakers of Oakland is a non profit focused on youth outreach through media and music education. Recently having purchased an existing record studio the project consisted primarilly of a interior renovation, as well as targeted exterior work to showcase the Kingmakers ethos on the facade.

Working with Kingmakers in house graphic artists, we developed the new entry vestibule to tie into the murals on the facade telling the story of the Kingmakers non profit. In addition to the interior renovation; the project also included coordination of the new use with Oakland zoning, as well as with Cal Trans due to an Aerial easement associated with 880 above the back garden.
