Kenskill Trailer

Due to the success of the Birdhouse Camper, Brandon was approached to restore this vintage Kenskill. Originally built in 1949 the Kenskill trailer is one of the earliest style metal teardrop campers. Working within the clients land in Malibu, Brandon renovated and refinished the severally water damaged interior. The primary goal of the renovation was to waterproof the exterior, and refinish the interior to turn the damaged camper into a unique guest home for visiting friends & surfers.

  • The original chrome hardware was removed polished and remounted onto repaired cabinetry.

  • The original laminate was cleaned, refinished, and re-sealed to keep the existing character.

  • Living in Malibu, the owner had received old bamboo which grew at Bob Dylans House. Bobs Bamboo was broken down and used to replace water damaged trim.
